    Making Memories

Calling all Dementia Friends in the Keighley area!

Join Dementia Friendly Keighley’s “MAKING MEMORIES” Walk and help to make a real difference to people in the community who are living with dementia.

DFK have planned a brilliant Family-Friendly walk that takes place on Saturday 24th October.  It is a 5k walk starting in the town centre at 11.00am and finishing in the museum at Cliffe Castle.  There will be a face painter in the Airedale Centre; come and have the DFK logo painted on before you start.  A Samba Band will lead the walk giving it a real Carnival atmosphere and when we get to Cliffe Castle there will be refreshments, activities around the museum and grounds for the children and a stall selling home-baked cakes.  Something for everyone!

There are two main aims for the walk.  Firstly to raise awareness of dementia in Keighley whilst raising money to support the services we have started to provide over the past year.  And secondly it is an opportunity for people to come together and do something active and healthy with family and friends.

To sign up and receive your sponsor forms please contact Dementia Friendly Keighley on 01535 677177 or email info@dementiafriendlykeighley.org.uk
